Cedric Griffin suffers torn ACL
Posted by Michael David Smith on October 12, 2010 3:36 PM ET

We noted this morning that Vikings cornerback Cedric Griffin was going to have an MRI on his knee after getting hurt Monday night against the Jets. Now the results are in, and they're not good.

Judd Zulgad of the Star Tribune reports that Griffin suffered a torn ACL. He'll miss the rest of the season.

Griffin started all 16 games in 2009 but tore his left ACL in the playoffs. This injury is to his right ACL.

Now Griffin will begin a long rehab process and attempt to show in 2011 that a player with two surgically repaired ACLs can make it in the NFL.

I didn't really think the Vikings had a decent secondary anyways.

I think and hope we would be able to stretch the field against them.

Antione Winfield isn't what most people thought he was going to be.

Nope, not in coverage he's just a solid tackling CB now.

Ayuh, I think we should go back to a heavy pass game and stretch the field on these guys.

We need to let it all out in this game.

And unleash their pass rush?

No thanks.

The Vikings just played a physical game against the Jets, where the "D" was on the field a lot. They're coming off a short week where they had to travel.

Run. The. Ball.

F that it's obviously not working either. Let's start by not making mental mistakes.

Plus we had a hundred yard rusher and a 400 yard passer and it didn't do anything, so I guess it doesn't matter what we do, really.

Let's just hope all the players get off the bus safely and all of their shoe laces are tied, and were Tied by the players.

I will start with that. Everything else is gravy.

It works when we use Felix most...Run the damn ball Red Head..We need a 45/55 split with the pass barely winning that split.
