Cedric Griffin suffers torn ACL
Posted by Michael David Smith on October 12, 2010 3:36 PM ET
We noted this morning that Vikings cornerback Cedric Griffin was going to have an MRI on his knee after getting hurt Monday night against the Jets. Now the results are in, and they're not good.
Judd Zulgad of the Star Tribune reports that Griffin suffered a torn ACL. He'll miss the rest of the season.
Griffin started all 16 games in 2009 but tore his left ACL in the playoffs. This injury is to his right ACL.
Now Griffin will begin a long rehab process and attempt to show in 2011 that a player with two surgically repaired ACLs can make it in the NFL.
