1. David Yankey G 6-5/314 Stanford
Where we are drafting is too high for the DT's so it comes down to Yankey's mobility vs Cyril Richardson's mass to replace Waters. Yankey, Frederick, and Smith should be Cowboy O Line fixtures for many years.
2. Lache Seastrunk RB 5-9/210 Baylor
Murray is going into a contract year and can't put together 16 healthy games. Seastrunk is a homerun threat and will also be a weapon in the passing game.
3. Shilique Calhoun DE 6-4/250 Michigan State
I think cbspsorts is out of their mind having him available in the 3rd round range and that he will end up a first rounder. As a redshirt sophomore, I doubt he declares if he doesn't feel he'll go much higher. Regardless, he is a playmaking pass rusher.
4. George Uko DT 6-3/280 USC
Like Calhoun, Uko probably won't declare unless he gets a higher grade from the drat committee. Plus, this kid is incredibly close with Ed Orgeron and may stay in school to play for him one last year. If he does come out, he's a great fit for the RDT in this scheme.
5. Max Bullough LB 6-3/245 Michigan State
Sean Lee minus some athleticism. Film rat will provide good depth and solid special teams player from day one.
7a. Marcus Williams CB 5-11/CB North Dakota State
Even the new HC can't keep small school Jerry away forever. Williams is probably the best player on the best non-D1 school in the nation.
7b. Venric Mark WR 5-7/175 Northwestern
Injuries and size allows him to slip this far. He's our low risk attempt at Percy Harvin/Tavon Austin.
7c. Garrett Gilbert QB 6-3/223 SMU
Longhorn fans will sigh but he's got good size and an NFL arm.
