Bye week helps Dez Bryant heal after collision with photog; chemistry good with Romo

The bye week came at a good time for Dez Bryant. In addition to a stress fracture in his ribs, the rookie receiver suffered a bruised hip when he collided with a photographer during the win over Houston.
"It helped me a lot as far as recovering,'' Bryant said of the additional time. "I just have little nicks and bruises, nothing too serious. The bye week helped out a lot.''
Bryant said he knew he was hurt as soon as he ran into the photographer, "but at the same time I didn't want to show my weakness, so I got myself together and got back on the field. But after the game, I was aching.''
Bryant has quickly earned the trust of quarterback Tony Romo and ranks third on the team in receptions with 14 for 158 yards.
"I feel like we have chemistry,'' Bryant said. "Not just me but all the other wide receivers.
"He's been a tremendous leader to us. He makes sure that everybody is on the right page.''
