That's a bland boring mock. The players don't suck but no impact players either. Lawrence would be the only one I'd be hopeful for.

Beckham is an impact player. Lawrence will be a good player.

Marsh and Louis are day three value picks IMO

Hate the Logan Thomas pick, cant see that happening at all unless they are moving him to TE

Interesting that he has us taking Trai Turner. Doesn't seem to be a good fit in a zone blocking scheme. Not to mention Rob Rang compares him to Ronald Leary.

I really wanted to draft Cordarelle Patterson in the 1st last year. Odell can add that same special teams impact his rookie year.

He's also a vastly better WR in terms of his route running and hands.

Yeah if it's not Watkins or Evans I want no part of a 1st round WR.

Watkins is the best WR in the draft w/o question, but with Dez here I don't see Mike Evans as the ideal #2 guy. I'd rather have the speed and explosive play ability Beckham has than what Evans would bring. If we didnt have Dez, then I'd prefer Evans.

Beckham could play any of WR spots (inside or outside) and also gives you the added bonus of being an extremely explosive kick/punt returner.

Why does having Dez mean you can't have another big strong guy? I'd take what Chicago has in a heartbeat.

I just think Beckham brings something to the table that we don't really have.

I also like the fact that he played in a pro style passing system last yr, so he may be more advanced right now in terms of his route running and knowledge.

I've wanted us to get a true speed threat for about 10 years now, but we never do. I just think it's dangerous to think one player has to complement another... Reminds me of the Barber/Felix decision. In the first round especially, just take the best guy.

Have to admit I'm not as familiar with Beckham, though. And that I'm a little wary of LSU players.

I don't know a ton about Beckham, but how you described him is exactly what Dez is. I think Dez is better at making game breaking plays than he is at just being a big WR threat.

He isn't anywhere near as big or physical as Dez is though. But he does have quick feet, makes sharp cuts and has real deep speed.

I like him for us but this is a really deep WR draft and it would make more sense to get a WR later. But if they got stuck at 16 and couldnt move down, and 3 or 4 other guys (the obvious ones) weren't there, I wouldn't be too upset if we drafted him.
