60-yard shuttle: 11.47
Three-cone drill: 6.98
Broaddus Breakdown (viewed Stanford, Texas, Oregon and Washington games): Is a free safety for the Bruins even though he interchanges between the free and the strong spot. See him more as a free safety because of his rangy build. … Not afraid to stick his nose in the action. Is a wrap-up tackler that does a nice job of getting the ball carrier on the ground. Will drive on the ball when he sees it in the running game. Is aggressive when he comes forward on the play. Good open-field tackler. Does an outstanding job of chasing the ball and attempting to be a part of the tackle. … Has a smooth pedal in coverage and ease of movement. Had the best footwork of the safeties I studied. … Good reactions and quickness to receiver and routes. Had an impressive 3.96 in the 20 shuttle, which was better than three of the top corners in this draft. … For the most part, I thought he did a nice job of seeing routes develop. Did get caught out of position and fooled one time against Oregon when he was covering in the slot and got caught peeking in the backfield and his man ran right by him. … Saw two real shots to make plays in coverage against Stanford but was unable to finish the play. Had route position and no separation but was unable to successfully defend the pass. … Was surprised to see him not knock down more passes because he does play with quickness and overall awareness. Did not see any games where intercepted any passes, but he had 14 of them in three seasons at UCLA. … Still like the way he moves and gets to the football. Have seen him cover in the slot and run with his man, but again he still needs to finish plays. Like him the best of the other safeties in the draft, but overall this really isn't a strong group.
