Brian Waters visits, talks contract with Patriots

The Patriots continue to kick the tires on veteran players, with a new focus on offensive linemen.

After hosting Andre Gurode on Friday, the Patriots met with former Chiefs guard Brian Waters on Saturday a league source confirms to PFT. Shalise Manza Young of the Boston Globe writes that Waters talked contract with New England when he was there.

The Patriots interior line could use depth. It’s possible they could wait until after Week One to make a move so that anyone they signed doesn’t have their contract guaranteed for the rest of the year

Why the hell haven't we contacted him yet? This really pisses me off.

I mean I'm rooting for the young guys here, but Waters starts here in a heartbeat.

I dont know if you've noticed, but the last couple of seasons Waters has been a JAG player himself.
