Brad Townsend / Reporter
In the nearly empty Cowboys locker room at Valley Ranch on Monday morning, linebacker Bradie James was asked how it will feel to watch two other teams play in next month's Super Bowl in Cowboys Stadium.
But his answer spoke more to how disappointed he is about the past few seasons _ and the time that's slipping away from the franchise's current core group of players.
"It doesn't matter where they play," he said of Super Bowl XLV. "I've watched it for the last eight years, since I've been in the league, the teams playing the Super Bowl -- and we haven't played in it.
"This window, the team that we have, the window is kind of closing. I'm going into my ninth year. I can remember when I first stepped on campus, actually. So we don't have time.
"I'm not on scholarship. The realization of this game is, we've got to make something happen now, or I'm going to retire a non-Super Bowl winner. That's just how it goes."
