Aaron Williams and Mikel Leshoure are the two names FWST says could be the targets for our 2nd rd pick.

Of course they also said we were definitely taking Costanzo over Smith too.

So does anyone have a "pet-cat" at #40?

I'm not seeing a lot there as far as either a 3-4 DE or a guard/center who represents good value.

If I stay at 40, Franklin.

But I would trade back and target Rackley.

I think I'd look at moving down. I think Casserly was right about the significant drop off from first round talent to second round.

Never mentioned Free.

I was hoping for a non-agenda response.

My non agenda response is we need talent along the entire line. One pick doesn't fix it. Franklin can play both T and G and Rackley's a G only. We could use both.

My only agenda is to have a championship winning football team. I don't get attached to players. They're merely spare parts that come and go over the years.

Hope 2 of the 3 second round QB's go before our pick, then move down with some QB desperate team and hope to get a 3rd or 4th this yr and that teams first rd pick next yr

I love how going two OL might be overboard, but wave the towel for three CBs every year!!!

That's not why I asked...

But continue on.

Then why would you ask? You're obviously fixated on need and fit to the current makeup of the team and ignoring upgrading your overall talent level.

I wouldn't build our offensive line around a marginal player like Doug Free, Mike. The Cowboys agree. Or they would have never taken an offensive lineman in the top 10. You do that when the guy is expected to play LT. Doug Free's spot.

It's called an upgrade. Look into it.

I think Orlando Franklin could walk into Valley Ranch tomorrow and be a better RT than Free.

And even if he can't, so what. Move him inside. Maybe he's quality depth for one year behind two aging declining starting Gs.

I wouldn't have a single complaint if the Cowboys selected another offensive lineman today. Not one.

However I do think Free will be signed to a long-term deal, and will be a starter on this offensive line for several years to come.

We'll see how it plays out. :)

I don't think he will. I think he'll have to play under his one year tender under the old CBA rules this year. And by that point, the Cowboys will see a real talent at one T and Doug Free at the other. And, for the love of God, avoid another horrific contract on a completely overrated player.

That's how a well run team would do it. Let's see what Harry and Lloyd do.
