On Wednesday, wide receiver Roy Williams lamented his dwindling role in the Dallas Cowboys' offense. In his last nine games, Williams has been targeted for only 30 passes, catching 15 for 218 yards and no scores.

One reason for the decline could be that bad things tend to happen for the Cowboys when they throw the football to Williams.

For the season, there have been five interceptions on 62 throws targeted to Williams. That breaks down to an interception every 12.4 throws, the highest rate among club wide receivers.

Miles Austin has had six interceptions on 116 throws targeted to him for a rate of an interception every 19.3 passes. Injured rookie Dez Bryant had two interceptions out of 72 throws for an interception every 36 passes. Bryant turned into a defense back several times to prevent what could have been interceptions on off-line throws.
