The deal to send cornerback Asante Samuel to the Atlanta Falcons from the Philadelphia Eagles has been finalized.

  • A source with knowledge of the situation told NFL Network's Albert Breer.
It's not yet known what the Falcons will send the Eagles in return for the nine-year veteran.
Samuel and the Falcons have agreed to terms on a three-year, $18.5 million deal.

who is it on here who likes to argue with me that traded players won't/don't immediately sign new contracts?

"Can't trade him, his cap number is too high"

The Eagles traded McFatty to the Skins.

Thats because Dan Snyder is a freaking pinhead and Reid knew McFlabb was washed up

He got better by dumping him, and made another team worse by sending him there

No argument from me. Just saying there was a trade within the division before.

Surely, the Giants would be all for trading within ther own division to help us out.

well that is probably on a short list of it never happening.

can you imagine the fans in ny hearing that they shipped osi to dallas for a measly third round pick and then paid him.

they would shit.

but I would love it. He is just like ware and together moving around they would be terrific. We would give up some ability in the running game but so what. Its about hitting the qb, especially in this division.

Our best bet is them cutting him, which is unlikely, since someone will offer at least a mid-round pick for him.

If they cut him, he might be willing to come play with Ware and get 2 shots a year at the Giants.

from listening to popa it doesnt sound like they will do that, seems they will just let him whine and play it out like last year.

NFL Network is saying it was a 7th rounder in this trade.

Wow.

7th's better than nothing, which is what they would have got apparently. Just not much interest in a pouting CB who cant tackle and has a penchent for giving up alot of completions and big plays. Kinda sounds like the loser the Falturds had in Deaneglo Hall

I disagree, Samuels is a good corner.
