There's nothing wrong with that, as long as they get another pass rusher via the draft to help

If Spencer doesnt play better, you let him leave next yr and we owe nothing. if he has a breakout year (unlikely) then you franchise him again or more likely, sign him to a long term deal.

But they got to get another pass rusher early in this draft. 1st or 2nd rd IMO

so we are okay with renting a 1 year player for $8.8M. That seems dumb. Franchise Tags shouldn't be used on guys we have no problem letting walk next season.

the problem, dbair m.d., is that he is tying up resources this year that could be used for something else.

I'd rather have David Decastro or Cordy Glenn than Ben Grubbs

right but we dont know if we can get those guys and personally I would like to have grubbs and decastro...

with carolina clearing out wharton they may be all set to take decastro
