The claim is the ice on top melted and now the lower ice is melting and the sheet is thin and not as deep due to global warming and the water from below that is released is cold so it freezes on top and looks bigger while not being bigger. In other words, they got nothing and need to explain real fast why they're wrong and sound like a a creationist explaining evolution.

No, that's not why they changed the terminology.
See, it doesn't make sense to call it "global warming" when many places are cooling down. Once libtards got wind of that, they had to create a new term that would account for their retarded belief that somehow man has caused the temperature variations. Now its "climate change"
But if you want to really fuck with a libtard, ask them how come its been both warmer and colder in earth's distant past, even when there was no man made industry around.

They have now gotten so desperate they are giving in to the whole, it's been warmer and colder, but now they say that because of Man Made Climate change that it is happening quicker. The same folks that can't tell you if it will rain next Thursday and saying that within 20 years the Earth will be dramatically changed because man uses fossil fuels.
Did you know that oil leaks into the Ocean every year at rates that far and away exceed anything man could hope to spill?
Or that Volcanoes randomly spew forth more CO2 in a week than man has in his existence?
Of course not, it doesn't fit the narrative.
Obama has already closed so many coal mines that there will be running outages throughout the Eastern seaboard this winter. They've done the same shit in Europe and expect worse than us as they have gone full ****** over there for this shit.
They push us all to buy and own electric cars, but price them so high that no one could pay for them.
They push us to go electric car, but for some reason keep making it so that electricity is going to be higher than gas prices due to supply and demand. And have yet to freaking make an electric anything that will go over 350 miles before having to charge for so long that long trips are impossible.
Everything they subsidize, turns to shit the day the money they gave them runs out, because they can't get anything to work. They are quick to show how much money the oil companies make from the sell of crude, but fail to mention that almost 15% of the price you pay at the pump is a federal tax. Don't figure they will be lowering that anytime soon, do you?
