Five players to watch tonight

ARLINGTON, Texas -- While much of the focus will be on the Cowboys’ first-team offense and defense tonight vs. Denver, they will see about 12 snaps of action, so don’t sleep on what happens the rest of the way.
Here are five players to watch:
Running back Lonyae Miller: Can he bring what he did on the practice field to game action? Tashard Choice could be back to practice Saturday, so Miller’s level of work will go down but if he performs well against the Broncos he could work his way into the 53-man roster.
Wide receiver Kevin Ogletree – He can be a little more consistent in practice, but when the lights come on he is not afraid. He has a big lead in the race for the No. 3 receiver spot and could all but eliminate the thought of adding an outside presence at the spot with a good showing.
Guard David Arkin – It’s looking like the fourth-round pick could be an opening day starter. While the vets will see two series, Arkin and first-rounder Tyron Smith will play more. The Cowboys need to accelerate the learning for both guys but Smith was expected to be a day one starter. Arkin wasn’t.
Linebacker Victor Butler – By far this has been his best camp. But like Miller can he take it to the field? He has natural pass rush ability and if he can show some consistency he will give the Cowboys three solid rushers from the outside. Rob Ryan could invent a package to use Butler as a rover if the third-year man excels.
Linebacker Sean Lee – He had a great run inside the Alamodome, taking advantage of the snaps given to him when Keith Brooking went down with a hamstring injury. Could he work his way into the opening day starting lineup? That might be a lot to ask but he has done everything necessary in practice.
