Aqib Talib, official get into heated postgame argument

BALTIMORE -- A heated, profanity-filled confrontation unfolded between Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Aqib Talib and an NFL official following a 17-10 loss ot the Baltimore Ravens.

Talib was furious about a pass interference call on cornerback Myron Lewis on Ravens wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh in the second quarter, which led to a touchdown.

Talib cursed in reference to the call.

"You made a p--- call."

According to Tampa Bay reporters, the official said, 'You play like a p---." lol

Then, Talib threatened to punch the official, saying, 'I'll hit you in your b--ch ass mouth."

Officiating supervisor Neely Dunn declined to discuss the incident with a pool report.

"We only make comments to the pool reporter when it's about a call that was made on the field, so we have no comment about whatever you're talking about," Dunn said. "That's the only thing I'll say right now. We have no comment about it. If you want to ask us about something that happened out on the field, we will entertain that. But we're not going to entertain what you're talking about."

Immediately after the first half, Buccaneers coach Raheem Morris ran toward the referee to complain about the call.

"I'd call it asking for an explanation," Morris said. "I disagreed with it at the time, but it is what it is. My opinion doesn't matter in that case. The call was made; you've got to move on and get ready to play. That's what we did."

Morris didn't seem to know about the dustup between Talib and the official.

"I don't think this is called an altercation," Morris said. "It's called people communicating after the game. That's all they are. I don't know what language you're talking about. IIf an official uses improper language, then that's an official's deal."

It could also be of interest to the NFL, which expects officials to conduct themselves professionally even if a player or coach isn't.
