If he'd be willing to sign a 1 or two year, reasonable deal, then I wouldn't object.

But I think the team is going to stick with Beuhler for another season, at least.

He started to tail off last year and missed some big kicks late.

at first i was thinking that vinitieri would be the better option, then i considered the market he would command. With the money situation and the holes still left open at safety and end, Akers would probably give a good bang for the buck. I wouldnt want to pay venitieri. Janakowski is making 4 mil a year in oakland and even though he's younger, he couldnt compare to adam so akers would be a good fit

That, and if the team went with Vanderjagt(sp?) over Vinitieri all those years ago, I don't think they'd be interested in him now.
