Here's my idea.....I'm throwing it out here in case anybody has a better idea.

It's a draft value contest. Each guy takes 10 players. The first guy to have all of his players drafted wins.

But here's the twist. If any of your players are drafted in the first round, you're out. And I was thinking you must have at least one guy drafted in round 3 and one in round 4 too.

It's a test of your mid round value projections.

Just thinking out loud here. If anybody has something better feel free to chime in.

Its original. Sounds like fun.. I'm down.

It seems like predicting the 4th round player is going to determine if you win or not...

Yeah we can adjust the rules. That was just my initial idea.

I like the idea of not allowing any first round picks though. Makes it a challenge to give a good enough list to be first off the board but not so good and risk one of those guys going in the 1st round and eliminating you from the contest.

I got a better idea.

Unfortunately for all of you I'm keeping it to myself.

dbair's draft game:

All picks made by Jerry get an A grade. All picks made by other 31 teams are automatic F's.

No one wants to play your game dbair!

So pick 10 draftable players, but none in the 1st round? Sounds pretty easy. I mean, there are only 220 some odd possible choices (excluding the top 32 overall).

Once we determine a set of rules, I'll post the thread in the fantasy football forum with a link for it in this thread.

I think the rules are solid. First to pick 10 players picked including a 3rd and 4th rounder. Pretty simple as far as rules go.

I'm in.

Don't like the 'if the first round, you're out' rule. A team could reach and screw you. Wish it would be something like the player can't be in the top 40 of Kipers Big board or something to that effect.

Regardless, I'm in either way.

We could do the contest I described or we could just get 10 guys or so and simply draft our own players. We'll snake the order of picks. 1-10, then 10-1, etc.

Maybe each guy has to draft 20 players. The first guy to have all his players drafted wins. We can even keep track of who had the best average per pick, as that might not be the first guy to have all his players drafted.

The only problem with this contest is we have to conduct a draft or everyone would have to post their value board for this in this thread and we'd simply select off of that.

So which do you prefer?

Getting everyone around for a draft will be complicated and posting a value board sucks because if I like someone and cr122 likes them too, one of us will notice and adjust it accordingly.

I say just keep it as it was originally brought up.

Ayuh, if we do it that way we all know each others strategies, that does suck.
