The flip side of the other thread.

Who is the one player you most want the Cowboys to draft?

And so we don't see a ton of Tyron Smith responses, forget about the first round. From the 2nd round on, who is your guy?

I'm gonna say Orlando Franklin T Miami. Projected at G in the NFL but played his last two years in college at LT. At 6'7", I'm thinking he can be a really good option at either T spot and maybe he can even overcome the tall frame to shift inside. I'd consider it a home run if we can land this guy at 40. We'll find a spot for him.

Honorable mention to William Rackley G Lehigh. Get this guy and scratch one G spot off your list of needs.

Tyron Smith is really it for me.

If we're talking afterwards only and we got Smith in Rd 1, getting Cameron Hayward at 40 or after a minor move up would be pretty solid IMO. He could potentially start this yr and at the laast would be a nice rotational guy at DE.

A Saturday pick I'd like to see is LSU RB Stevan Ridley.

He's a Day 3 guy, but I really hope we draft Shiloh Keo, SS, Idaho.

Marcus Cannon and Marcus Gilbert. Move them inside to play G, one can sit this year and be groomed to take over Davis.

A day 3 pick for me would be Mark LeGree FS/SS.

From the second round on I'm looking at guys like this.

2) Marcus Cannon, yes I'm on the Cannon bandwagon the guy is an immediate starter.

3-5) ILBs like Colin Murphy or Mario Harvey. Both could be animals in Rob Ryan's scheme. Kenrick Ellis, nuff said.

4-6) Edmund Gates or Austin Pettis. Pettis has good hands, consistent and big frame. Gates, is an all around WR and Gil Brandt likes him and so do I.

5-7) Chykie Brown, very athletic but needs some help on his footwork and overall technique. Shiloh Keo, SS/PR.

I wouldn't describe Gates as an all around WR. He's a straight line speed guy who dominated a lower level of competition in college. He comes into the NFL as a raw prospect, IMO.

He also comes in overaged, as he is already 25

Hey, I could be wrong. Just go by what I read or heard on the radio. I think he does well at the next level.

I'd be lying if I said I have seen him play. I have Sirius radio and Gil Brandt thinks he's a solid player who's drafted in the third round. :confused

Yeah, most have him in the 3rd round. His speed is coveted. If he can learn to run NFL routes, he could be a big time weapon.

He could contribute right away out of the slot running short routes...but with his size and speed that's probably all he'll ever be real good out, IMO.

Still, be a Wes Welker type is nothing to be ashamed of.

I just figured if he's drafted, he can learn behind the other WRs. Just don't hang around Dez. :awkward

He seems like a kid who could be coached up at the next level. Like sbk said getting help running routes, which some WRs in the NFL now have trouble doing.

He did impress at the combine with his drills, a lot of teams were impressed with him.

Sounds exactly like a certain player that you slurp upon as being the "best WR in the division (NFC East)"
