Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Jared Gaither, who missed all of last season with an upper back injury, has made a full recovery and is ready to play, according to his agent.

Drew Rosenhaus tweeted Saturday that Gaither "is totally healed. He's a had a great offseason and will have a bounce back yr. He's back to full strength & ready to go."

"Basically, I'm cleared," Gaither told the Carroll County Times. "I just have to be cleared by the ballclub and take that physical. I'm doing a lot better. I'm feeling great. I can't wait for next season."

Gaither's status with the Ravens is uncertain. He is unsigned, and with four years of accrued time in the league, he may be a restricted free agent when the lockout ends.

If so, he could return to Baltimore and compete with rookie Jah Reid for the right tackle job. If Gaither ends up as an unrestricted free agent, however, he is a good bet to leave because the Ravens aren’t likely to give him a big contract after he didn’t play a down last season.

"If we have to operate under the 2010 rules, we would still have Jared Gaither," G.M. Ozzie Newsome said recently. "If he's healthy, he'd get a chance to come back and start."
