Cowboys have 'heavy interest' in Brandon Carr

ESPN's Adam Schefter is the latest to report that the Cowboys will aggressively pursue free agent CB Brandon Carr.
"The Dallas Cowboys are expected to have a heavy interest in Brandon Carr," Schefter said on SportsCenter. Schefter, ESPN Dallas' Calvin Watkins, and Pro Football Weekly have now all reported that the Cowboys will be in hot pursuit of Carr. Dallas is also expected to be in on free agent Cortland Finnegan, though Carr offers better size and superior tools for press coverage.

Excellent. Anything to avoid taking a corner at 14 in the draft.

Whatever it is, I'm sure you'll find something bad about it

Whatever it is, I'm sure you'll be all for it.

He isn't worth Nhamdi(sp?) money, or anything close to what we reportedly offered Nhamdi.

So yeah, if he breaks the bank, you're right, I won't be happy.

i actually want this player, just so long as its at a fair deal.

well it would be kind of a shocked if we were not at least going to talk to him at this point.

I am happy about it, we need a vet corner and he is still young and has the ability.

I hope we sign like 4 or 5 veteran defensive players personally, or 2 on each side.

after what we have seen the last two years from newman in 11 and jenkins in 10.....I dont care what they pay him. We are going to be okay cap wise either way and this organization prints money.

so for the first time in years I hope we spend away and fix some blatant problem areas. Overspending at corner wont hurt us....I hope we sign carr, Tracy porter and laron landry to be honest and finally fix the damn secondary that has really hurt us for a long time.

then in the draft they go get decastro if possible and a center in the second round.

our two biggest weaknesses seemingly will have been addressed and hopefully will allow our skill players on both sides to go out and have great years and give us a chance.

They spelled cortland finnegan wrong

I'm loving that we will probably shore up the back end in FA
And drafting young fresh legs in the trenches.

Our first 3 picks should weigh at least 800 lbs combined

If we're going to gamble so much money on DBs, I'd like to see a heavy emphasis on the front 7 in the draft.

Carr,Landry and Super Mario in Free agency. Decastro and Phil Blake in the draft. 3 biggest weaknesses on the team solved.

Except Landry hasn't played a full season in years and needs an operation that he still hasn't gotten. Why Mario Williams?
