Adam Gase interviews for WR spot

IRVING, Texas -- The Cowboys’ search for Ray Sherman’s replacement as wide receivers coach has taken them to Denver’s Adam Gase, according to multiple sources.
New Broncos coach John Fox opted not to keep Gase on his staff, bringing Tyke Tolbert with him from Carolina to coach wide receivers.
Gase, 32, was with the Broncos the last two seasons, and he has a history with Cowboys’ Jon Kitna and Roy Williams. From 2005-07 Gase was an assistant in Detroit and coached the Lions’ quarterbacks in 2007 when Kitna was the starter. He worked as an offensive assistant with Mike Martz in San Francisco in 2008, and he worked for Nick Saban at LSU. Garrett worked under Saban at Miami.
Brandon Marshall was named to the Pro Bowl in 2009 under Gase’s tutelage after catching 101 passes for 1,120 yards and 10 touchdowns. Marshall became the fifth wide receiver to have three straight 100-catch seasons in 2009.
