Did you realize Sunday was only the 10th regular-season start of Miles Austin's career?
He started nine games in 2009 after breaking out in Week 5 against Kansas City. The Cowboys opted for different personnel groupings against Philadelphia , the New York Giants and Saints which kept Austin on the bench for at least a play.
This is an example of why you should never get caught up in who starts. We all should just remember it's plays more that matters most.
But that would ruin a perfectly good blog post on Austin's statistics in those 10 "starts." He has caught 68 passes for 1,093 yards and scored eight touchdowns. That would be a good season for a lot of people.
He has had one 200-yard game (Kansas City), three 100-yard games (Atlanta, Oakland and Sunday's vs. Washington) and two 90-yard games (Washington, Philadelphia)
