Nmandi Asomuagh (sp?)
King - I say the Jets are a long shot. Of the teams that are going to clear enough room to sign him, the Cowboys and Texans, are going to want to overpay him. The key thing is, and we don't know that the Jets are going to be involved, but the Jets can do this if Nmandi is willing to take a little less, say 12 million a year. He does want to play for the Jets.
Santonio Holmes?
King - Santonio Holmes will get done with the Jets. Braylon Edwards won't get done. Brad Smith won't. Rex Ryan told Mike Tannenbaum before they acquired Holmes that everytime they Ravens played the Steelers, Holmes was the guy that beat them. Rex Ryan isn't going to let him go even though he'd love to be able to sign a couple more corners like Nmandi or Jonathan Joseph.
Kyle Orton?
King - I've heard that the Broncos aren't going to just give him away. People know the Broncos want to move him. With Hasslebeck to TN, who's left? Are the Dolphins going to pay a 3 for a guy they don't know can beat Henne, even though he can. Miami is the most logical spot. But if he gets there in August, can we expect him to start a new offense in 5 weeks? He's really bright though. Like a computer.
Kevin Kolb?
I think Kolb will end in Arizona, but I don't know. I have a feeling Reid will trade him to AZ. Reid looks at Michael Vick and see's only one great year, see's he's an injury risk. If Reid does trade him to AZ, he's going to have some doubts in the back of his mind as to if that was the right thing to do.
Carson Palmer?
Era ends in an ugly way. He's not going to be traded. Mike Brown won't trade him because he doesn't want people shooting their way out of the Bengals locker room. Trading Palmer sets the stage for other disgruntled players.
Plaxico Burress?
Dont' know if he's going to NY to bury the hatchet, or if he wants the Giants to say they want him back. We do know the Giants are very loyal to their great players gone bad. See Lawrence Taylor.
Reggie Bush?
There are teams - Indy and Philly - who romanticize about having a player like Reggie Bush in their backfield. But I think Reggie will realize that the absolute best move he can make for his career is to stay in New Orleans.
Tiki Barber?
Pittsburgh. Won't happen immediately. Has relationship with Tomlin.
