I don't see an issue with bringing Mays in and seeing what you can do with him. If it doesn't work out, it isn't like you gave up much for him to begin with. Give the Niners a 4th or 5th and then say if you don't keep him or he doesn't produce they owe you that back. Not a big deal!

And I'd be a little hesitant about signing a CB right now. Lets see how it looks after preseason first.
