A hamstring injury has prevented Tashard Choice from carrying a football in a game since the Cowboys' 34-7 victory over the St. Louis Rams in Week 7. According to Choice, he'll be back on Sunday -- just in time to face his old team.

"I'm playing this week," Choice told The Washington Post on Monday.

Choice, who was selected by the Cowboys in the fourth round of the 2008 draft, signed with Washington on Oct. 31 after Dallas released him. In his final game with the Cowboys, the 26-year-old carried twice for eight yards before injuring his shoulder.

Choice, who was listed as questionable last week, was primarily a reserve player in Dallas, rushing for 1,139 yards in 54 games.

Now, he feels healthy and ready to contribute to a Redskins backfield that has been hampered by injuries.

"I felt like I was about ready, but I just had a little doubt," Choice said. "You don't want to have that with a hamstring."

He added: "I'm just going to go in there and play -- get behind those guys and run to daylight. I'm excited about the opportunity. I've just got to make sure I'm healthy."

After being notified of his release, Choice tweeted: "I just want to say thanks to all the great dallas cowboy fans. My time in Dallas has come to an end and the best is yet come. God bless."

There's not a run defense in the league that could stop a Tashard Choice with a chip on his shoulder.

He blocked me from his twitter account. I was going to wish him luck.

Explain...

Tashard Choice. It's not a coincidence that Choice's first game as a Redskin would be against the Cowboys. If Coice is playing this week, then he could hav eplayed last week. It's clear they didn't want to reveal as to how they are using him and at the same time think it will give Choice a boost with a chip on his shoulder. If the Cowboys were playing the Redskins njext week instead of this coming Sunday, they would have sat Choice.

Choice is not a secret weapon. He sucks and he's dumb as a bag of dicks.

If Choice goes over a 100 on us, Ryan has some splainin to do.

Ryan needs to get everyone on the same fucking page for once. No more 12 men on the field and no more guessing from everyone about what to do.

Yeah there does seem to be quite a bit of confusion on who should be out there or lined up in certain spots...seems like it is happening more each week. My guess is he has installed alot more personnel packages and play designs and they havent had enough time in the system yet to get it all down...definitely a downer of the lockout because alot of this would have been installed and worked on during the offseason programs and early in camp

Really dumb. It's worse than a bag of hammers. I can post videos of Choice acting like the missing link in the locker room and running out of bounds, but I'll spare everyone.

Yeah, but you would have to post a video of a bag of dicks doing dumb stuff for comparison...and nobody wants that but Bob.

The defense definitely got hurt by the lockout but it's time everyone get on the same page now.
