Considering what I paid in taxes this year, $1 million isn't enough.

And btw, remember when Trump supposedly ended Obamacare taxes? Then why are we still getting charged Medicare and investment surtaxes? Its and additional 2.8% for Medicare, and 3.8% on investments. That's on top of the 37% top rate and in my state 8.97%. Altogether that is almost 53% of every additional dollar we earn!

And remember, Trump eliminated most itemized deductions including deductions for state and local income taxes. So the tax rates hit almost all of our income.

And one more thing to consider. Trump eliminated the alimony deduction. If you get divorced and pay alimony to your ex, you ca no longer deduction the alimony you pay from you income! That is huge.

There is no fixing the current tax system. Every fix winds up screwing someone. It has to be dismantled and replaced with a flat tax on all income, or a VAT tax with no income tax.
