With a lockout in place and players left to work out on their own, plenty of Eagles are working out at Power Train in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Tim McManus of PhillySportsDaily.com drove there recently to check out what he called “a kind of NovaCare East.”
Multiple Eagles are working out there, and one of them was, in McManus’ assessment, “noticeably thinner.” Receiver Jeremy Maclin said that he was suffering from a “mono-like illness” from the middle of February until late March.
“It was off and on,” Maclin said. “I went for a week where I felt good, and then all of a sudden the feeling would be back.”
He said he lost 15 pounds during the illness, and that he has gained 15 back.
Maclin and DeSean Jackson make up a quality one-two punch of young wideouts, and they soon could be the very best combination of receivers in the NFL.
