I can't decide if Beck is really good and Shannahan un-earthed a gem... or the Colts just flat out didn't give a shit. Which is possible, because they looked completely disinterested all game. I do take solace in one of the receivers comments (Gaffney, I think) when he said (paraphrasing) that Beck never showed any of that in practice.

I'm okay with a blitz heavy defense because I like aggression on the football field. I hated nothing more than Mike Zimmers read and react schemes from years ago. I'd much rather throw bodies at the QB from all angles. Will big plays be given up? Sure. But so will turnovers and sacks.

Besides, we have an offense that's going to hang 28-32 a game. So we can afford to get creative.

I'm nervous about our defense. I don't think we'll see them live up to the expectations I have for them until mid to late season.

I'm really impressed with your Redskins. I'll be honest, I had them as a 4-5 win team. But I think they'll compete with the Giants for third in the division this year.
