We're not winning a SB with Jeanty. So why trade up? If he's there when we pick and he's the best player on the board, then take him. But I'm not moving up for a RB.
He's a difference maker. He puts points on the boards and if they draft him (at 12 or via a trade up) then they'll undoubtedly commit to using him. Which means less Quack Attack and more winning.

Dane Brugler's Draft Guide is out today. I can't drop the whole thing here but can cut and paste like this (or bits and pieces)

RB2 Omarion Hampton North Carolina, 3JR HOMETOWN HIGH SCHOOL BIRTHDAY AGE HT WT NUM Clayton, NC Cleveland Mar 16, 2003 22.11 5116 221 #28 BACKGROUND: Omarion (oh-mar-ee-on) Hampton grew up in Clayton, N.C. (south of Raleigh), with his mother (Leslie) and father (Cory Chappell), playing basketball, football and other sports in the neighborhood. At the age of 8, he started playing Pop Warner football and starred for the Cleveland Rams at the mitey-mite level. His older brother (Jamal) played wide receiver and defensive back at Cleveland High and signed with Division II Chowan in the 2018 recruiting class. His cousin (Giorgio Lowrance) played wide receiver at North Carolina A&T (2006-09). Hampton enrolled at Cleveland High and started out on the JV squad before the coaches moved him up to varsity (335 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns). He became the starter as a sophomore and set school records for rushing yards (2,402), rushing touchdowns (35) and yards per carry (9.61). He earned all-state and conference player of the year honors, as Cleveland went 12-2 and won the 2019 conference title. As a junior, Hampton got of to another hot start (685 yards and 13 touchdowns), but he sufered a season-ending broken left ankle in the team's fifth game. He returned healthy as a senior captain and rushed for 1,948 yards (12.1 average), plus broke his own school record with 39 rushing touchdowns, earning all-state and conference player of the year honors. Hampton was also named North Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year, as he led Cleveland to an 11-1 record (only loss came in the playofs). He finished his prep career with 5,370 rushing yards and 88 rushing touchdowns. Hampton also set several school weightlifting records and lettered in basketball and track. He had personal bests of 10.71 seconds in the 100 meters and 22.47 in the 200, as well as 20 feet, 9 inches in the long jump and 38-8 in the triple jump. A four-star recruit, Hampton was the 11th-ranked running back in the 2022 recruiting class and the No. 3 recruit in North Carolina. He received his first ofer (Duke) during his breakout sophomore season, followed by ofers from several ACC (Miami, NC State, Virginia Tech), Big Ten (Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State) and SEC (Auburn, Florida, LSU) programs. After several visits, Hampton set a final three of Florida, North Carolina and Penn State before deciding to stay home and sign with the Tar Heels. He was the fifth-ranked recruit in former head coach Mack Brown's 2022 class. Hampton skipped North Carolina's 2024 bowl game and his senior season to enter the NFL Draft. STRENGTHS: ● Thick, squared-up build ● Above-average run strength, especially in his lower half (broke his high school's squat record as sophomore) ● Tilts field downhill with the forward lean to barrel through half-tackles ● Above-average initial burst for a 220-pound athlete ● Reads blocks well at line of scrimmage to press hips of his blockers ● Subtly sets up defenders before cutting back against pursuit's leverage, creating fly-by tackle attempts ● Accelerates cleanly of plant foot to transfer speed in/out of cuts ● Feasted on pivot routes (two drops on 80 career targets) ● Transfers ball to correct hand to protect against fumbles (one in 2024) ● Proven as durable workhorse (25 or more touches in eight of 12 games in 2024) ● Ofers both talent and experience in pass protection ● Finished career No. 4 in school history in rushing yards (3,565), No. 3 in rushing touchdowns (36) and No. 2 in 100-yard rushing games (19) WEAKNESSES: ● Lack of swivel in hips creates tightness in turns, which limits open-field creativity ● Sluggish getting through some lateral jump cuts ● Will make himself too big of a target through line of scrimmage ● Pad level needs better consistency to maintain his balance versus NFL defenders ● Willing to power into contact, but not always through it ● Stayed healthy in college but missed most of junior season in high school with broken left ankle (March 2021) SUMMARY: A two-year starter at North Carolina, Hampton was the featured back in former offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey's balanced run attack. He was a beast during the 2023 season and led the ACC in rushing, but it was even more impressive to see him repeat as the conference's leading rusher in 2024 without Drake Maye (and with defenses selling out to stop the run). He rushed for 100 or more yards in 10 of 12 games in 2024 and set a UNC single-season record with 2,033 all-purpose yards. With his NFL-ready frame, Hampton quickly reads the blocking scheme and collects his feet to accelerate through congestion or press and cut toward slivers of daylight. Once he gets north-south, he will mash the gas pedal into second-level defenders, but sometimes does so at the expense of his balance — and those heavy hits will take their toll over time. Overall, Hampton has only average creativity and is a tad tight in his hips and ankles, but he is a bruising runner with an efective blend of patience, power and speed. Given his reliability on passing downs, he is a complete player and should start as an NFL rookie. GRADE: 1st-2nd round (No. 29 overall)

Well now I feel like an idiot for paying for The Athletic.

Can everyone see this now? Or is it just the PDF version that's locked for pay view only?

The info is the same for both.

I gotta be honest, I don't really love any of these WR's but if I'm going to have to take one, I'm probably taking Ohio State's Egbuka after trading down a little.

He may never be a true #1 or even a "star caliber" player, but I think he's a safe bet to be a really solid #2 WR for a long time.

McMillan worries me and I just don't see the hype over Golden. Any other yr he's probably a 2nd or 3rd rd type pick guy.

hard not to agree w/ that sentiment because ohio state has been a WR factory
