Like him or hate him. Jerry"s not trading his prize bull. Many forget Parsons missed 4 games last season but still finished among the NFL leaders in sacks, tied for 5th in the league & 1st in the NFC with 12.

By hitting the double-digits mark, Parsons joined an exclusive group of NFL legends like Dwight Freeney, Derrick Thomas & Reggie White by recording at least 10 sacks in each of their first 4 seasons.

I'm thinking roughly $33 million per in that extension. He deserves it. 2021 NFL Defensive ROY & was a Pro Bowler in each of his 1st four seasons.
I agree he's probably not getting traded, doesn't mean they shouldn't be at least looking into it to see if something is potentially franchise altering. You don't trade him for the sake of trading him, but if you can get a significant package of picks (multiple #1's and some other stuff) you have to consider it.

For all the accolades he gets, he has some warts too. He isn't great against the run. Now some of that is he is somewhat miscast as a DE when that isn't he true best position, but it's there. While he does get sacks, he doesn't force many fumbles (only 3 in the last 2 seasons combined, and only 9 total in 4 yrs). He has no career interceptions. He has played in 4 postseason games and managed only 1 sack. And for a guy considered such an overwhelming pass rusher, he's not had a single 3+ sack game in 4 years. Then there's the apparent aloofness with him. His body language is extremely poor in many games and he also seems to physically tire easily. He has to come in and out of games far more than an "elite" level player should IMO.

Again I wouldn't trade him to just be rid of him, but between the massive cap charge he's going to require and potentially the really good return on draft picks, it's something a franchise should at least be thinking of.

That's the stuff that blinds the Jerry's of the world. 90% of these numbers come against inferior opponents... He doesn't do shit against quality opponents.
He hasnt stepped up in the 4 postseason games for certain.

That said, the bolded statement isnt entirely true either. Just last season he had 6 1/2 sacks in 4 games vs the two NFC Champ game opponents. The 2nd Philly game was a complete blowout after the 1st qtr but we easily could have swept Washington the Philly game at home was a real game for a half.

That's kind of my stance as well. I probably "like" him more than "hate" him, but I certainly don't feel the same about him as I did some other prominent Cowboy defensive players.

Wonder if media and fans will clobber the Whiners for getting "only a 5th rd pick" for Samuel, ala Cowboys for Cooper.

I doubt it. Living in the Bay Area the faithless always seem to have excuses for all things related to the cranberry and butterscotch

Speaking of the scarlet and gold aka cranberry and butterscotch does anyone remember those gawd awful shades of colors they adopted for a season or two back in the nineties? Also, does anyone here remember the website ninerhatersociety.com back in the 90’s and early 2000’s? I’m proud to say I was the very first member outside of the three or four local guys that started it.

The Jerruh and spawn are completely inept in how to manage the salary cap or run the football operation. Signing Dak to four more years is a terrible. Might as well clean house and start over. Never going to sniff a Super Bowl with Dak at QB. Just start the rebuild and get the pain over with.

Lol. i hear ya Dooms. In 4 playoff games he's only had one sack. Like Prescott, he's talented, but not a savior nor worth a huge contract. You know who else is like that? The other Penn Stater, Saquon Barkkey. The Egals had one of the easiest schedules in the league last season.

That said, they played against 9 teams with under 4 wins giving them that win streak. Those opponents Defenses is what made Barkley look good. And of course the Egals offensive line. If he was so great, than why was 2024 the only season he played MVP caliber since he was drsfted on 2018?!

Personally, I'm not a Parsons fan since he's been in the NFL. He's hugely overrated. Like back in the early days of Dlaw where his mouth got him in trouble, so does Parsons. Granted Dallas needs Parsons & it's difficult to justify trading Parsons right now, even hypothetically.

If Jerry was smart ( tongue in cheek), go w/the obvious. Ship Parsons to Buffalo for a major haul that includes multiple players & a premium pick. Buffalo gets Parsons, while Dallas would get James Cook (need a rb) & TE Dalton Kincaid & a first round pick in this year's draft, No.30 overall, in return.

Jerry better do something & knock it off w/the "all-in & selectively aggressive" bs.

Egals win SB. Washington made the NFC championship game w/a rookie qb & first year new HC. And, are only getting stronger.

I’m open to the idea of trading Parsons I would hope to get more than what’s mentioned with Buffalo. In my mind Kincaid isn’t any better than our tight end and #30 overall is basically a high second round pick.

At this point Dallas needs to put their priorities first. Of course that's the fans logic which Jerry doesn't have. The secondary should be Jerry's primary concern.

Trade Ipuke while he's still worthy. Like Prescott, he's not worth the coin Jerry wants to pay him. Did you hear about AJ Brown's nonsense?!Screenshot_20250302_082416_Google.jpg

Way too low of draft pick compensation for me. I like Cook, but he is also ready to get paid via free agency and there's too much quality at RB in this draft for me to want to do that. Kincaid doesn't do anything for me.

Getting a low first rd pick for Parsons isnt worth doing a deal IMO.

I want to keep my 1st round pick I want yours this year and next and I'm sending you Parsons and throwing in Dak if he'll agree. We'll have Dak off the books in two years using same formula Denver did with Wilson and we'll have drafted the true franchise QB1. We will win the SB within two years.

Nobody is taking Dak, even as a throw in.

We can definitely get at least two 1st rd picks for Parsons.

never heard of these randos. might be bullshit

Not sure how anyone could think trading him is even a remote possibility. He literally might not be able to play next year and his latest knee injury is considered quite significant. Not sure what they gain by releasing him now either.
