only coach in NFL history to take four squads to the tournament.
only.
ONLY.
in NFL history.
ONLY.
How many coaches that are thought to be among the best have coached more than 1 or 2 teams? I'd bet if Bill Walsh, Tom Landry, Chuck Knoll, etc... had coached that many different teams, Parcells wouldn't be the only. ONLY. in NFL history.
Usually, a coach is thought of as shitty if he bounces around to more than 2-3 different clubs. Because if he was winning, he wouldn't have to move to that many different clubs.
Here's a fun fact for you. Wade Phillips has taken three different clubs to the playoffs. Denver, Buffalo, and Dallas. And has a .581 career winning percentage. Wade. Fucking. Phillips. Going to the playoffs everywhere he's had a HC job. Only 1 less than the immortal Bill Parcells. Taking 4 different teams to the playoffs doesn't sound so impressive when compared to that.
